I write to follow up on an announcement that I made at the October Faculty Meeting, related to our work of implementing the strategic plan adopted by the faculty and Board of Trustees last spring.
I write to share with you a summary of our annual spring Board of Trustees meeting, which took place on campus and concluded on Friday, April 26.

Thank you to those who have provided feedback on the strategic plan, including by joining us at one of our daily office hours, submitting feedback electronically and participating in individual or group meetings with members of the Executive Committee.
Our strategic planning efforts have continued since the end of the fall semester. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee began studying and synthesizing the Working Group Reports immediately upon their submission in early December.
Last September, I identified four strategic commitments paramount to our ability to strengthen Bucknell and fully capitalize on who we are as an institution.
Throughout this academic year, many of you have attended or viewed the recordings of a series of forums intended to assist us in gaining a shared situational understanding of certain broad topics critical to the success of strategic planning.
